In 2005 Allstate paid $21.2 billion in total Property-Liability insurance claims and claims expense. The Allstate Foundation donated nearly $16 million to nonprofit organizations including $400,000 in scholarships. Allstate currently holds $27 billion in municipal bonds, and more than $250 million in community investments.
