Founded in 1983 with two aerospace companies as
clients, Allegis Group originally focused on the
engineering industry. Today, we offer a full
range of specialized services to over 4,000
clients in a wide range of industries.

Company History
In 1983, our founders started Aerotek, a contract
service company to provide technically skilled
people in the fast-growing aerospace industry. In
the beginning, they had just two contract
employees and two clients. A year later,
the company topped $1.5 million in sales.
The organization has continued to grow and
prosper over the years, adding new
ventures and developing innovative new tools to
help revolutionize the contract
services industry. In 1999, Allegis Group was
formed as the parent company for our operating
companies we have developed over the years. There
are now more than 230 Allegis Group field offices
across the country. We employ more than 4,600
internal employees and 65,000 contract employees
in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
In 2000, we launched thingamajob.com, our
proprietary website that matches job seekers with
our recruiters throughout the United States and
Canada.
Thingamajob.com provides career advice and
industry news to job seekers and helps our
recruiters locate, select and hire the best
talent.
