RDC has been a leader in education focused on student success for over 45 years. Established in 1964, RDC has grown from a small community college offering upgrading, certificate and diploma programs to one of Canada's most comprehensive colleges, now embarking on degree granting and furthering its activity in applied research and innovation. We now serve over 22,000 learners annually in credit and credit-free programs through more than 1400 faculty and staff, committed to learning and learner success. RDC is now the largest comprehensive community college in Alberta. This growth has occurred naturally without losing the intimate community college environment.

The City of Red Deer, located in Central Alberta, is a vibrant community ideally located between Edmonton and Calgary. Our parks, hiking and biking trails, sports complexes, schools, college and beautiful outdoor facilities – with views of the Rockies – make Red Deer and area an ideal place to live.
