Reporting to the Head of Communications Sydney, the Internal Communications Adviser supports the delivery of communications that keep our people informed, connected and engaged. This is a hands-on role in a small team, focused on creating practical, engaging content that brings our mission and 2030 Strategy to life. You will contribute to internal campaigns, support events, and maintain our digital channels including the intranet, website and internal social media channels.
This is an exciting new permanent full-time position based at St Vincent’s Public Hospital in Darlinghurst, on a hybrid working arrangement.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Prepare engaging internal written material that aligns with our mission, vision, values and strategy
Plan and support the delivery of internal events, award programs, and engagement initiatives across St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney that help connect and engage our people
Design digital and printed resources such as brochures and posters, aligned to the St Vincent’s brand
Film and photograph hospital events, along with editing and publishing to bring them to life
Manage day-to-day intranet content, including publishing updates, maintaining pages and supporting teams to share timely and accurate information
Things that work for us:
Demonstrated experience supporting internal communications in a busy environment
Excellent writing skills - able to produce clear, engaging content and adapt tone for different internal audiences
A proactive, can-do approach - comfortable working at pace and rolling up your sleeves to get things done
Experience developing and contributing to communications plans, with a focus on delivery and execution
Practical skills in video and photography - able to film, edit and produce engaging content end-to-end
Experience creating visual assets such as internal brochures, posters and design documents using tools like Canva
Familiarity with SharePoint intranets and Viva Engage is desirable
Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Media or a related field
